Radio Donna recommends

Oh man oh man oh man, if you haven't heard Alabama Shakes and the raw emotional power of lead singer Brittany Howard -- fasten your seat belts and hold on. I got goose bumps the first time I heard this song, and I am hooked. Their debut CD Boys and Girls is money well spent. Brittany was a postal worker who just quit the day job. Talk about inspiration!

I know nothing about music. Can't read it, play it, sing it or write it, but I believe music has the power to nourish and heal. My husband calls me, "Radio Donna." I sing songs to myself all day long. Sometimes the music creeps into my outside voice. My husband will hear a bit and wonder, oh, what's that, and then he realizes it's just radio Donna.
